Classic Christmas Songs, Performed by Buck’s Ducks (1992, 2001)

  • Officially launched from a small booth at The World’s Championship Duck Calling Contest in Stuttgart, Arkansas. The competitors ignored the sweet sounds, their wives bought the tapes. Best played loud to encourage the dogs to sing along and accompanied by an adult beverage. Originally on cassette, now on CD and allowed to be played in the garage when she is out shopping or alone in the truck going somewhere. Reportedly played post-op in a fancy Houston hospital.

  • Much more enjoyable, meaningful than singing dogs, cats, chipmunks, dolphins, and spider monkeys. With demand, could become an LP and entered in the Grammys, the Troubled category.

A Cajun tribute to Buck Peterson and the culinary classic The Original Roadkill Cookbook. A musical romp in the hay by a band that will set your dancing shoes on fire. If this roundup of traditional favorites doesn't lighten your load, at least let the dogs out. Controlled circulation. Out of control enjoyment.

  • Recorded live at Fonenot's Main Street Lounge in Bastille, Louisiana, a night of rocking and shuffling to the sweet sounds of Vince Fontenot and Nonce Allie & The  Basil Cajun Band. Vince was a recipe contributor to The Original Roadkill Cookbook with a tasty recipe for Wa Wa Ron (bull frog) and Ebo (owl) gumbo, accompanied by a gift bottle of Jimmy Newson's famous hot sauce (Jimmy Juice), pepper jelly. The original cassette has been remastered for listening pleasure, and the collection dedicated to the memory of J. Angus "Sourdough" McLean, illustrator extraordinaire, Buck's wingman along the highway supermarket, and best pal.

      " Laissez bons temps rouler."

Requiem for a Duck Hunter is dedicated by a duck hunter to fellow marsh rats with an old firestick and loyal dog or hunting pig agonizing over a missed early teal, mid-day mallard, late feeding honker. Hoist a cold one to happy waterfowlers dearly departed, and may the inventor of the
pop-up blind burn in hell.

  • Master bagpiper, J. Angus (Sourdough) McLean (RIP) of the famed McLean clan, was known to pipe his bag at the drop of a hat or his pants. With first breath, lovely melodies would stir Scottish golden memories of not tipping at the pub.

For enthusiasts, clan tartan is now available on shirts, kilts, and nut sacks at fine men’s shops somewhere. These garments, sewn by village virgins despoiled in their lowlands are very collectible but tend to run small in the “junk drawer.” The McLeans often clashed with the McDonald’s of Happy Meal fame and, with judicial encouragement, emigrated to the Americas, where Sourdough joined forces with Buck Peterson, master guide and oyster shucker, to put a song in everyone’s heart.
